MarySue Hormel Harris' Legacy

With each passing week another summer concert comes and goes and I can't help but feel so grateful to the memory of MarySue Hormel Harris for giving our community such an amazing gift.... the gift of music. MarySue Hormel Harris, the grandniece of founder George A. Hormel, dedicated her life to sharing her love of music. MarySue also supports the Harris Music Competition which takes place annually at the Hormel Historic Home. MarySue has made it possible for us to support musicians from around the country but more importantly, to support our own local musicians/ bands. The community of Austin is blessed to have so much amazing talent of all ages and genres! MarySue passed away this past February but her legacy continues here at the HHH through our various music programming. We are forever grateful for what she has given to our entire community and hope that the memory of MarySue and the music we share with our community, because of her generosity, inspires and brings you joy.
