Little Lillian

A Tea Party Experience at the Hormel Historic Home


​This party experience is designed for 6-10 young ladies and includes all the traditional elegance of tea time; from frilly linens to tea sandwiches, fancy goodies galore, child friendly teas, a princess cake or cupcakes, and Princess Germaine will co-host!

The young ladies will enjoy their tea at George A. & Lillian Hormel's dining room table,
​decorated especially just for their unique experience.

Little girls spend hours hosting tea parties for their dolls and stuffed animals. 
It's a time for imagination and cherished memories of childhood.  They dream of fairytales and being a princess one day. 
​Now your little one can live out her dream at the Hormel Historic Home with her very own tea party!

What's included in your Little Lillian's Tea Party Experience?

  • Historic Home Dining Room seating for 6-10 little ladies
    • It is recommended that tea party participants be 6-11 years old.  There must be 2 adults in attendance as museum staff are not available to supervise children 100% of the time, so please plan accordingly.
    • The young ladies are expected to have proper manners when attending their tea party experience.
    • Formal dress is required for all tea parties (sundress, formal dress, princess dress, etc.)
  • Up to 2 hours of time onsite
  • Custom designed menu including: tea sandwiches, fancy goodies, child friendly teas, and either a princess cake or cupcakes
  • Princess Germaine will co-host the tea party and teach attendees proper tea etiquette 
  • Tea party BINGO with prizes
  • A frilly hat and hand bag that each little lady will embellish, pretty white gloves, and jewelry to accessorize their frilly dresses
  • Princess background music
  • Assistance in selecting the date that works for you, your guests, and the availability of the Hormel Historic Home
This experience is a fundraiser to support the mission, continual preservation, and operations of the Hormel Historic Home.

All guests must go to our website and make full payment within 7 days once the inquiry is confirmed.
This event is non-refundable if cancelled within 7 days of the event.
​If someone in your party cancels and your number falls below 6 attendees, you will still be responsible for payment of 6 attendees.

 Most* Tuesdays-Fridays 10am-4pm
*If you are traveling from a distance you're welcome to call us to check tour hour updates as our tour hours may change due to private event rentals, guided group tours, etc.  We do our best to update our social media, website calendar, Google business hours, and place a sign on the front door or porch if hours will differ.

The Hormel Historic Home is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.  The Hormel Historic Home is not owned, operated, or operationally funded by any corporation, historical society, county, city or foundation.  Tours, memberships, donations, gift shop purchases, and venue rentals support the Historic House Museum's operations and programming.  Thank you for your support!
